In a historic event highlighting innovation, sustainability, and regional collaboration, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) received project funds amounting to ₱1,054,600.00 during the “From Forest to Future: Engineering & Innovative Applications of Bamboo” event held on August 4, 2025, at the Ayala Centrio Mall in Cagayan de Oro City.
The ceremonial turnover marks a significant step in NBSC’s pursuit of community-based and science-driven development through the project titled “Utilization of DOST-FPRDI Technology in the Establishment of Engineered Bamboo Processing Facility in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.” This initiative supports the college’s ongoing research and extension work, particularly in harnessing the potential of engineered bamboo as a renewable resource and economic driver in the region.
The ceremonial turnover of the project funds to NBSC signals strong institutional support for inclusive and technology-based development in Bukidnon. This fund will aid in establishing a dedicated engineered bamboo processing facility in Manolo Fortich, creating new opportunities for research, innovation, livelihood, and sustainability.
